Knight of Wands

While sitting early this morning at my regular table at the Jackson Heights, New York Starbucks, I started shuffling my beloved Noblet deck. Almost immediately 3 cards whipped out of my hands! The 3 flying cards were nowhere to be seen. Unwilling to give them up as lost, I broadened my search. They soon turned up lodged deeply in a nearby shopping bag!

Tarot Decks

While I started with an RWS deck, my primary reading deck these days is a TdM, and especially the Flornoy Noblet. The Noblet was originally published in 1650. In 2007 the lovingly restored version was published by Jean-Claude Flornoy.

The Flornoy Jean Noblet tarot deck is one of those decks that can renew one’s love affair with tarot. It is one of the oldest surviving tarot decks, and has been lovingly and painstakingly renewed card by card by Jean-Claude Flornoy. It transformed me into a lover of the tarot de Marseille.
