The Four of Swords Tarot Card – First Impressions
Do you see the balance in this card? Things are where they should be. There is nothing obvious that needs to be done at the moment.
The flower in the center is in bloom. Cut flowers allow the beauty to be enjoyed at home in a comfortable and protected setting. They last for a time. So too, the four of swords experience is for a time. When the four of swords presents itself, it’s right to just let things be.
Tarot Deck Card Meaning – Four of Swords
What’s the story of the Four of Swords?

(Cards 1 – 4)
Here’s a tale of the four of swords. Fighting for that which is right became a tiresome affair. The effort and struggle continued beyond the place where the person had heart to continue.
What happens when the joy goes out of something but the feeling of responsibility remains? Quite often the energy and activity start to wind down, and the soul longs for escape.
Sleep can be as refreshing as candy is for a child. With the four of swords, the body comes to rest and the mind is freed to travel unfettered to a place where hope can be renewed.
(Card 4)
The four of swords is like a table filled with delicacies from which the heart can freely eat. Worry and care have no place here and are easily whisked away. The only task is to accept the time outside of the world. Let the needful things be seen to by others. Be at peace.
When resisted
(Card 5)
Refreshment cannot happen when the four of swords is refused. The sounds of many lips smacking together at the feast erase the possibility of inner reverie. Raucous noise exhausts what little energy remains.
Advice
(Card 6)
Move inside yourself. Resist any and all interruptions to your much needed private time. This is your opportunity to recover.
