Why study tarot?

Skillful use of tarot is practical. Tarot develops character, reason and intelligence in the reader and the querent (client).  Historical decks like the Tarot de Marseilles are readily usable.

Tarot is a tool for awareness.  If you treat it as a game, you will not get very far.  Your readings will tend to confirm your preconceptions and prejudices.  If you treat it with respect, and are willing to face your own weaknesses, fears and limitations, you may well be surprised with what you are able to discover.
